Art is Resistance -NIN...please help!?

Ok, this may sound really dumb, but Im confused.





I am a huge Nine inch nails fan...always have been, always will be. Well today I went out to hot topic to buy another nin shirt and I saw one that said 'Art is Resistance' across the front. I've always heard the saying or whatever 'Art is Resistance' ever since Year Zero cam out...but...what the heck is or what does 'Art is Resistance' mean?!


Somebody please help me!

Many events reported on these websites take place in the year "0000." Digit Online later reported that 42 Entertainment had created these websites to promote Year Zero.Rolling Stone described the fan involvement in this promotion as the "marketing team's dream."

Reply:It could mean that you use art as protest, or to fu%26lt;k with the system. So what I am trying to say is that art is a way to unite and go against something...it also makes you think, so that is another thing that causes people to go against the status quo and to resist.
