IB Art or IB Chem?

Which is the better choice?

I'm not into either one, but I'm easier on chemistry than art. Although my grade is higher by 6% in art, I'm not sure which to pick though.

I know what IB Art focuses on, but not so sure about IB Chem. Can anyone explain what the curriculum for IB Chem and the standards and tests are for the Diploma Program?

Thanks in advance.

IB Art or IB Chem?
I'm taking both, and I think Art is better, but that's just me. IB Chem is a course that you have to take every day all year. On Day 1, you take IB Chem and on Day 2 you take IB Senior Science Investigations.

First Quarter:

Unit 1: Atomic Theory

Unit 2: Periodicity

Unit 3: Bonding and Nomenclature

Midterm 1

Second Quarter:

Unit 4: States of Matter and IMF

Unit 5: Stoichiometry

Unit 6: Chemical Reactions and Thermodynamics

Midterm 2

Unit 7: Kinetics and Reaction Rates

Thrid Quarter:

Unit 8: Equilibrium

Unit 9: Acids and Bases

Midterm 3

Unit 10: Oxidation and Reduction

Fourth Quarter

Unit 11: Organic Chemistry

Unit 13: Fuels and Energy Exam Review

Unit 14: Exam Review

IB exam: May 8-9

Senior Science Final Project Presentation: June 8-12

Final Exam: May 12-14

Each unit is about 2 weeks in length. Some units may take longer than expected or there could be weather related interruptions to this schedule. However, the IB test comes May 10 and 11 regardless.

** If you are not sure you can handle the workload, but still need and IB science, you should try IB Oceanography or whatever it's called. Also, this is the schedule for my school- your school might be different. Hope this helps. If it doesn't, you should talk to your science teachers, but stay away from guidance (they always screw you up)
Reply:i agree that guidance screw you up. definetly Report It
