Theater art colleges vs state schools and universities. Which one should I choose?

hello, I am thinking of applying to a few different places as a transfer student. I was thinking about some of the UC california schools but decided (for the most part) that I don't want to go to ucla or ucs. I am thinking about some art schools like cornish,Uof the arts(in philly), Hunter college(ny). But I am a cal resident and the state schools are hella cheap. So I was thinking about applying to calstate LA but don't want to go to LA just for the sake of being there. Well I guess what I want to know is it better to go to a art school or university or a state school? I live in the Bay area now and I would not mind exploring. any suggestions/opinions?thanks.

I would definitely recommend the state schools. The expense is certainly a huge factor, and when it comes to finding a job, a degree is a degree unless it comes from an unaccredited school. The only schools that might be worth paying extra for are the ivy leagues, and I'm not sure that they're worth the extra money.
