GCSE ART HELP! Which artist should inspire me?

I really need help. If you look through my past questions you can see that i already had trouble with my gcse art but now im really stuck! I have chosen a theme - Vanity. Now my art teacher wants us to chose an artist who did the same kind of work we have done and she wants that artist to inspire us!! Who am i meant to do?? I have to have a full A3 page filled with information about the artist by next week. I HAVE to start it tomorrow! I went up to see my teacher and she suggested i do orlan (www.orlan.net) who did plastic surgery on her self and called it "art". But it doesnt inspire me as much. How can i do a project on something that im not interessted in? If i dont find an artist i just have to stick with orlan and follow the crowd... i hope anyone can help

stop panic-inc and stressing out over nothing. in the time it took to type the questionand blather on about past questions (it is totallysilly to expect us to look at your previous questions!) you could have looked in a book or on a site about art and gotten on with it yourself. don't bother with what others are doing. What you are interested in is the problem. You have not said what kind of work you have already done, but you are supposed to use that as a starting point to find out what artist inspired you, if I understand your rather garbled message... Now, get yourself together, in a quiet place, alone, get rid of the phone, computer, ipod and friends. look at your own art and decide who or what inspired it. Is what you have already done in line with Vanity, your new chosen subject?

If not, then either change your theme to match your work, or start over.

try Gustave Klimt if you are looking at VAnity - the women he painted have vanity... get out of here and get to work. You can do it!!!
Reply:does this work by dali inspire you.

Reply:Pick Gustav Klimt.

I just KNOW you love his interpretation of 'the kiss'.. up to you to make it about vanity.. not that hard I would say.
