Wherefore Art Thou (please tell me what you think. Thanks!)?

Wherefore Art Thou

Wherefore art thou my love rest?

To thee I pray for the best.

Thou might suffer great deal to thee

But then I know he's loving me...

Till' winter solstice ever end,

be morrow nor night can only mend.

A true lover's heartache

through a summer kiss may break.

Sleep the dawn of darkness away

May moonlight shine to thee astray

and to this I bid adieu!

A sin that broke your heart so true.

Last kiss and then I shall part

To you, my love, with my very heart

And as I pray for the best,

"Wherefore art thou my love rest?"...

Written in Shakespeare style. Please tell me what you think.

Thank You!

It's not bad. You should be consistent with the language, though. "to thine heart" for example.
Reply:I think you have a gift for writing poetry. I liked it very much. Keep writing and sharing your gift with the world....
Reply:I like the shakespear talk i think you need to keep writting and posting more poetry lookling forward to reading more.
Reply:Woooooooooow.

Excellent. Amasing. Beautiful. Talented! Yes, this is a great writ, indeed. I am very much taken aback by how well you managed to pull off the shakespearian wording..didn't expect it to work, admittedly. (However, the end tends to fade away from it, not good.) This is still such a lovely poem. Please do guard your work very closely, I'd be heartbroken were someone to rip you off someday. You should look into having this poem (and I assume more great ones) published, and fast.

I am so happy to see someone who not only incorporates rhyme and rhythm, but also an old-fashioned prose! Beautiful!

Keep writing, absolutely!! Many poets your age and even up can't hold a candle to you.
