Is it an art?

Is lap dancing an art? I think it is. I mean, it's not like most guys are going to get a hard on from a girl doing the polka. The women, and maybe even the men, have to practice the moves of their body to convey sexy, to make the person recieving the lap dance want them, to turn them on. For some women it's natural, but a lot of lady's out there make it into an art, a complete art. Turning sexy into a dance. It's kinda like a visual and physical art. It's absolutely amazing what a woman can do.

Is it an art?
of course its an art, even though people may think its not. i have been dancing ballet, modern, jazz, folkloric, and many other dance genres for 5 years, and they all take alot of work and dedication, just like any other art. people just don't realize that the actual movement is art. i bet if you asked any person that says that dance isn't an art to take only one ballet or modern class, their body would be sore for days and would understand what dance really is and why it is considered an art. it may seem easy, but its not, that's what its supposed to look like: easy, even though you are in pain standing on your tip-pi-toes.Especially folk dances that are traditionally meant for women to pursue men, they take alot of time to get every single detail right to make it look easy and sexy, even though its extremely hard.
Reply:well...dancing is considered an art....so in a weird and twisted sort of way...I suppose it could pass as an art...
Reply:I don't think it's an art. It has nothing to do with turning a guy on. Guys can get hard in all sorts of situations. But of course a scantily clad girl near their privates is going to do it. You could be the worst dancer in the world and still get a guy hard in that way. It doesn't express anything like an art should. It's sole purpose is to get a guy hot and bothered. Theres no self-expression there. There's no meaningful message. It doesn't make you think or ponder. It's just shaking and gyrating for a useless purpose.
Reply:Glad to hear you're having fun, but I don't think it is that much of an art.
