Martial art school?

I would like to go to a martial art school this summer vacation, to USA where I could stay to sleep I am not sure wich could be a really good martial art to learn. Hey do not get mad on this one and tell me is imposible to do. could you learn in 1 month a martial art, or even 2. Such as working hard every day, with a master. I would mostly would like to go to one where you really involve nature.

Martial art school?
Nope, I don't think it's possible to learn a martial art in just 2 months... unless you count boxing. That has the fastest learning curve, so far as I know. But it's not really considered a martial art.

I consider Tae Kwon Do to be a good beginner art. Of course, Karate would work as well. Those two are very popular martial arts, so you could continue your training at another school after you return from summer vacation.

But you should look around at other styles and determine which ones you are interested in. Yes, I know this involves a bit of research, and research is scary, but it will help ensure that you get something out of martial arts.

*edit* and no, you won't learn TKD or karate in just 1-2 months.
Reply:no school is in existence that will teach the whole thing in a month. A good martial art will have large loads of material that needs to be learned.

A good martail artist could spend their entire life devoted to the craft and still not learn it all.
Reply:You might want to take one of those 4 to 8 week self defense courses. It's impossible to learn a martial art in a couple of months.
Reply:martial arts is not something you learn over night or in a month or 2, you go all the way up to a tenth don that is a grand master. their are a lot of good styles of martial arts

like hopkido and aikido that's like Steven Seagal stuff.
Reply:Contact me for training near Yosemite National Park in California. My URL is
Reply:boxing will do that for u but you gotta train your *** off as its really hard keep up your training after vacation
Reply:I wouldn't suggest Tae Kwon Do if you want to learn it in a month. I don't think you can learn any martial art in one month. If you want to take longer, I would take TKD. It is a very good martial art, very round.
Reply:Everyone else is right, you cannot learn a martial art in 1 month. But what you can do is attend seminars on various fighting styles. You will need to do some homework to see what is available during the period you are there.

This will be especially useful if you have some prior training before you arrive. I became Army Unarmed Combat qualified in four weeks (live-in full time training) so it is possible if you pick the right course - but don't think you'll be black belt standard.
