Academy of Art University or Savanah College of Art and Design?

I'm looking for Art Schools in the US. Thinking of majoring in Graphic Design/Computer Arts (basically publications, print and web designing). I have interests in Musical theatre/theatre but have no previous experiences and would like to do a minor or take electives in it.





Any other schools to recommend?





I've researched alot on both schools and i need to make a decision. I know AAU is good in its connections with the industries but it doesn't really offer what i want (i'm tied between computer arts and graphic design). on the other hand, i'm not sure if the accreditations of SCAD are recognised in Singapore and i'm worried that it's not accredited by NASAD. I'm not sure of it's connections to the industry and the environment of the town. I heard it has high crime rates! BUT YET AT THE SAME TIME IT OFFERS EVERYTHING THAT I WANT (Christian fellowship, musical theatre minor, web designing in graphic design major, equestrian).

I am a Alumnus of SCAD and have to say I couldn't have made a better choice. I enjoyed every aspect of the school and couldn't recommend it enough! I got my B.F.A. in architecture and because of the where I attended had NO problem finding work! I'm not sure about your accreditations concerns but I defiantly think its worth checking into.. I'm sure you can call the school and someone will be able to help you with that. Good luck!
Reply:Before you do ANYTHING,make sure that the accreditation is indeed accepted in Singapore!! It doesn't matter how much you got out of your studies if no one attributes value to your piece of paper!
