select two works of art from any ancient culture (dated 30,000 BCE through 500 CE). Using the terminology and concepts you are learning when evaluating art, compare and contrast the two works including materials used, style, meaning, symbolism, and any other aesthetic issues. Explain how the works of art fit into the context of the time period. Keep in mind that only art works that fit into the period of Ancient Art will be accepted.

You do the work searching comparing and contrasting, I supply the two works of Art

1) Pyramids - http://www.eyelid.co.uk/

2) Parthenon - temple of Athena Parthenos ("Virgin"), Greek goddess of wisdom, on the Acropolis in Athens. The Parthenon was built in the 5th century BC, and despite the enormous damage it has sustained over the centuries, it still communicates the ideals of order and harmony for which Greek architecture is known.

If these two items do not satisfy you simply look for ancient Greece, ancient Egypt, Persia, China (the Wall) etc. Good luck.
