Where does art have a place in this world?

I've always been an artist at heard, I look at the world as a big painting, Every since I was young, I draw and I draw till I couldn't anymore but still want to. But they're...under developed? I like Jazz and all kinds of sounds and Music, I love the arts and cooking everything that has something to do with art. But I fail in academics, I'm not balanced. So right now, I'm in a crappy school where there's no arts or anything I like. I guess I deserve it for not trying my best, but I'm trying to make the best out of it cause I only have 2 years to be the best I can for college. So I'm taking remedial classes, and tutor for academics and will this help me with college? And I have no idea how to develop my art talents in such a short time. Cause everyone says "time and practice" but I have very limited time. And with this talent, I have no idea what to do with it in the future. I mean getting a job as an animator/cartoonist will be hard cause it's not on high demand!

Where does art have a place in this world?

Fashion design, fashion photography, fashion accesory design, fashion guru, sets designer





Commercial


You could design perfume bottles, campaigns, advertisements, web layouts, brochures, leaflets, posters, set up exhibitions/shop displays





Education


Graphics, art, photography, design technology teacher in a school, college, or university or part time as a club-you could do this alongside having a studio serving various services.











Remember, if you are good and keep in practice, developing your skills as an artist, you can make it in terms of where you want to go. I don't know where abouts you are so I can't comment, but I know there are many good art institutes out there that can help get you where you want to be.

Reply:Of course, we humans need art, the ability to express ourselves.


But do/be art for the sake of art not the sake of being able to make a living at it. If you do, then great. If not you have enriched your own soul.
Reply:ya i have the same problem.. i figure im just gonna go into something like accounting cuz im good at math too and do all my art stuff on the side.





being an artist most of the time means youre versatile, you can do anything.. you'll figure it out eventually.. no need to rush

Reply:Arts place is in our minds, our hearts and our souls. Art is a lifetime pursuit. Work hard on your studies - it is difficult to make a living at art so you need a back up plan. Pursue art, but be sure you pursue something you can make a living at also. Continue working at your art - art is love and happiness and give you satisfaction you will not get in other ways. Reply:why don't you get inspiration for art from this world? there is so many thing to paint when you think of it, trees, sunset, space (moon, stars etc), war, peace, different raced people together, mountains, a person at their daily routine etc. Try to look for ideas and paint/sketch what comes from your heart or you know that will look effective. Just collect little pieces of art you like and join them together. It will look great, just don't worry so much, art comes from the heart as does inspiration.
